Jackson County Forest & Parks

Wazee Lake Recreation Area

Former site of the Jackson County Iron Mine, now home to the deepest lake in Wisconsin. 3,000 acres of woodlands and water for your enjoyment.

Lake Arbutus

One of the best kept secrets in Wisconsin. Beautiful beaches, fun water sports, and a variety of activities in the nearby town of Hatfield.

Foundation Hiking/Biking Trail

Highground Veterans Memorial Park

140-acre park honors veterans, their friends and families and strives to provide a healing and educational experience for all visitors. Includes 9 tributes and 4 miles of well-kept, beautiful trails. Located near Neillsville.

Ho-Chunk Pow-Wow grounds

Authentic Native American pow-wow, held every Memorial and Labor Day weekend. Also includes Native American craft market.

Majestic Pines Casino & Bingo

Paul and Matilda Wegner Grotto

Spectacular and enchanting, the Grotto is an artful legacy left by one unique immigrant family. This sculpture environment dates back to 1929 and is colorfully decorated in a variety of shattered glass and broken crockery. The Grotto is located near Cataract, WI and can be enjoyed anytime.

MUSEUMS

Jackson County Historical Society

Open Memorial Day-Labor Day or by appointment and located downtown Black River Falls in the Carnegie Library, built in 1915. Exhibits include lumber and logging displays, Native American displays, and photography collections.

Little Falls Railroad and Doll Museum

Collection of antique dolls and railroad displays – great for kids!

Wisconsin Cranberry Discovery Center

Housed in a former cranberry sorting warehouse, the Center's exhibits detail the history of cranberry production in Wisconsin. Also includes a bakery, antique soda fountain, and gift shop. Located in Warrens. Open April through October.
